"Troy Haney has successfully completed a number of projects here at Roaring Springs Water Park. In the spring of 2008, he completely refurbished our 1,000 feet long Lazy River, and in the fall of 2008 he constructed the catch pool for our new attraction, Thunder Falls. "Troy Haney of HDT Pools has worked with us on two projects. One was a new municipal wading pool in LaGrande, Oregon, and the other was a pool and equipment rehabilitation for a condo project in Walla Walla, Washington. Troy did a great job on both. The owners are very happy with the finished projects, and so were we. We found Troy to be conscientious and responsive and very easy to work with. He went above and beyond his warranty obligation. Despite the distance he was from our projects, he always took care of things promptly and professionally. He will continue to be our first choice on our pool-related projects in the future.

“Our pool site presented significant structural challenges because we wanted a negative-edge pool overlooking the valley below our property. Troy had the experience to properly engineer the foundation on the edge of the steep embankment. A substantial two-tiered concrete foundation embedded into the hillside ensures that the pool is stable and well supported. The lower structure doubles as an outline for a paver-brick patio, while the upper holds the tile-lined negative-edge waterfall at the back of the patio. Dual curving stairways from both ends of the pool lead down to the patio below. The free-form gunite pool is still working great. The only noteworthy maintenance has been the installation of a new heater after nine years of operation. After ten years of pool use, we are still thrilled with the results."

"The City of Boise has contracted Troy Haney to repair and/or remodel city-owned pools on several occasions. My first contact with Troy happened at the Borah Pool in 1993. He was the contractor for re-plastering the entire pool, resetting all the tiles, coping stones, skimmers and replacing a large area of concrete deck. That pool is still looking good today. He did an outstanding job.

Since then, Troy has been tremendously helpful in addressing various problems at the city’s sites. I have asked him for advice on technical problems associated with our pool and many times the consultations were free of charge because he recognized them as important public services for the community. He was fully aware that the information and guidance provided would reduce his chances of obtaining the bids for repair in the future. Still, he continued offering his services time after time. In other words, he allowed me to draw upon his knowledge and experience to provide bid specifications.

Troy has always been congenial and up front in his conversations with me; I especially appreciated his demeanor when discussing my concerns during his consultations and construction times. He would take the time to explain all the “whys and why nots” without becoming irritated and/or defensive. His goal was always to do the very best job possible. "This letter shall act as my recommendation of HDT for future work possibilities. Mr. Haney's firm has worked with ICF Kaiser Advanced Technology Inc (formerly known as Micron Construction Inc and ICT Spectrum Constructors, Inc.) on numerous projects in the Boise area.

Specifically, he acted as the concrete contractor for the Building 22 Expansion project under my control. This project was located at the Micron Technology site in Boise, Idaho. He was able to meet all the schedule requirements for the project. Additionally, he was able to incorporate cost saving value engineering methods which expedited his schedule.

Overall, HDT is a firm that will dedicate all necessary resources to a project in order to bring the work in on schedule and budget."

"I have worked with HDT Concrete on a few projects the last couple of years and would not hesitate to bid or negotiate with them in the future. Two of the projects are as follows:

Idaho Power Company DRAM Substation - $400,000
HDT completed excavation, construction and backfill of duct bank and utilities to support new N2 Plant and built the metal-clad vault and shelter. This project has a very tight schedule due to weather and Idaho Power Company equipment delivery.

N2/O2 Trench - $1.3 Million 
 HDT completed excavation, construction, backfill and.htmhalt patching for a 2,600 foot, four foot by four foot trench with pre-fabricated removable lids from the N2 Plant to MTI production buildings. This trench was full of embeds and the pour tolerances for the lids was critical. This project was accomplished during winter conditions.

Troy and his team are very responsive to the client. They get their paperwork in and meet their schedules."
